The Planning Council
The purpose of this committee is to serve as a forum for church leaders to guide planning, coordination, conducting, and evaluation of the total work of the church. As membership increases, this committee will evolve into two separate committee, one being the planning council, and the other being the church council. The planning council depends on the various church ministries to implement the programs set forth for the calendar year but not to plan each individual program. It is the responsible of the program chair of committees such as church anniversary, pastor’s anniversary, and other chairs to plan their individual program.
Members of the Planning Council
Church leaders become members of the church council as a result of their appointment or election to their office. The leader of each department represents his or her group. The pastor at times will chair the meetings and will add additional members as needed.
